About The Role

Humza Yousaf MSP is looking for a Constituency and Parliament Digital Content Creator to join his team.

Salary: £28,508 pro rata

Hours: 2 days a week

Location: Edinburgh and Glasgow

Working for a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP)

MSPs are employers in their own right. Under their employment, you will become part of a team supporting them in carrying out their duties. You'll work in a dynamic and fast paced environment to provide an outstanding service for the member and their constituents. Desirable candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the Glasgow Pollok constituency, as well as a good understanding of Scottish politics and the political system in Scotland.


  • Capturing and editing digital content at Glasgow Pollok constituency engagements and visits
  • Capturing and editing digital content in the Scottish Parliament
  • Analysing and improving social media engagement
  • Implement a social media engagement strategy
  • Be creative with online engagement
  • Manage social media platforms
  • Organise and archive digital files on Share Point

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in Digital Content Creation
  • Have excellent organisational skills while being flexible in prioritising workloads during busy times.
  • Have excellent communications skills, with accurate attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Work in a confidential manner at all times.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Confidence with technology, photography, videography, short form digital content and social media platforms
  • Work well under pressure and under tight deadlines
  • Be creative

Desirable Criteria

  • Have knowledge of Scottish Parliament, policies, current topics
  • Have knowledge of the Glasgow Pollok constituency
