Donald Cameron MSP is looking for a Parliamentary Researcher to join his team.
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 (depending on skills and on experience)
Hours: 37 hours (Full-time)
Location: Holyrood, Edinburgh

MSPs are employers in their own right. Under their employment, you will become part of a team supporting them in carrying out their duties. You'll work in a dynamic and fast paced environment to provide an outstanding service for constituents.
A unique to opportunity to work in the busy Parliamentary office of a Member of the Scottish Parliament. You will assist the Member on a variety of research tasks, as well as supporting him in his role on the Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture committee. Other aspects of the role include:
- Obtaining and compiling relevant research documents from external bodies.
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of policy areas and local issues.
- Analysing, evaluating and interpreting data and statistics.
- Lodging written parliamentary questions and FOI requests.
- Providing briefings for the MSP on key issues as required.
- Carrying out research projects.
- Gathering and distributing valuable data that supports activities of the MSP.
- Assisting with some constituency casework.
- Carrying other miscellaneous tasks as required by the MSP and/or Head of Office.
